Velvet Goldmine is a one man project by Austrian Phillip Dornauer, who makes beautiful Alpine surf-pop, equally inspired by Californian reverberated instrumentals as it is by Mancunian post punk and indie.

Musically, Walk Away is a beautiful two minute fluid journey from snowy mountaintops, through swirling streams surrounded by ancient forests that eventually grow to become rivers, passing through cities and green countryside before finding peace by the seaside. Lyrically it’s about wanting to talk to a girl and screwing up every step of the way – shit happens, but if it happens to happen this way, then better to keep it happening!
