Black Market Karma are an incredibly prolific psychedelic collective that formed in around 2011 in South East London. With a premonition of the dissatisfaction they would have encountered in the music industry, they decided to set up their own label, Flower Power Records and to give their music away for free on the internet.

While you can tell they’ve surely  listened to high doses of both the Brian Jonestown Massacre and Spacemen 3 (who hasn’t?), their music is less heavy and more accessible than their influences. They’ll be stuck in your mind, and while you’re zoning out, carried away by their fuzzy guitars and chiming keys your feet will be tapping away for the rest of the day.

Come to think of it, perhaps this is what they mean by calling themselves Black Market Karma, they’re giving everything away to the internet’s unknown universe and I’m sure that sooner rather than later they will be having universe coming their way.
