Happy Cassette Store Day!
In order to celebrate Cassette Store Day, we’vo got an exclusive mic by Italian Collective Artetetra, containing some of the past and future productions of their label. The first half of the mix is a blend of weird folk and ethnic psychedelia gathering a plethora of projects from different parts of the world like the H-town based shamans “Ak’ Chamel” Virginian Sorcerer/activist Browny, the espresso shaman leading his project “The Big Drum In The Sky Religion” the Russian Raganoiser and former uSSSy drummer “Holy Palms” as well as some new and old sounds by “Babau” in a new catchy dancehall killer summery remix.
The second half of the mix, triggered by the ethnospace of “Nostra Signora dei Turchi” kosmische/krautish psychedelic, opens up on a panorama with the forthcoming production of “Moon Ra & Nicola Corti” some techno roots vibes from the Olympia based “Aural Resuscitation Unit” and the fucked up soviet melodrama “Doubt on the Balcony Boudoir” by Valerio Maiolo to shift in the end with a last ambience drift by the russianvapor “Hybrid Palms” anticipated by an excerpt of the electroacoustic piéce of “Kink Gong” a.k.a. Laurent Janneau: ethnomusicologist and composer already known for his works with Sublime Frequencies (Music from Tanzania, Ethnic minority music of Southern China) and other labels.
To celebrate the first time participation to this event the label has lowered the price of their tapes to five euros and the digital downloads to nameyourprice for this weekend.
