The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger or The GOASTT is Sean Lennon and his girlfriend Charlotte Kemp Muhl‘s musical project. Since their beginning they have published  two singles and an album of acoustic sessions, making  Midnight Sun their first album proper.  Animals, their latest single is a pair of sunglasses for the third eye. A super groovy psych rocker, with beautiful acoustic verses that lead to a stomping electric chorus, while the song’s lyrics recall the dystopian surrealist future of 12 Monkeys. The beautiful music video that accompanies the song is even more of a trip – a cultish (as in it’s based around a cult) homage to Alejandro Jodorowsky, with animal masks, a shaman looking Lennon and Muhl as his mystical vision.

It’s like opening your eyes in the middle of the night and seeing the light in your mind. Suddenly everything is clear, you understand the universe, you figure out your problems and how to solve them. As you mentally congratulate yourself for your awesome feat, you try to recap the solutions, but there’s nothing you can do, no matter how hard you try you just can’t remember, your ideas are all gone, running like animals from a zoo.
