The Limiñanas are from Southern France. They sound like what The VU would sound like if they had visited Cannes Festival in 1966, gotten Brigitte Bardot to sing for them and were directed by Ennio Morricone instead of Warhol. They are the soundtrack to a dark Nouvelle Vague film that features a party in a cemetery.
If this is “that new sound you’ve been looking for” then go ahead and check out the rest of their stuff on bandcamp, and get their record “Costa Blanca” on Trouble In Mind here.
Happy Sabbath.
